Tookie Williams V

California Governor Arnold Schwargenegger has reportedly denied clemency to Tookie Williams, despite the protests from numerous Hollywood types.

I commend Arnold for not backing down. The law is the law.

Two questions now come to mind:

1. Is LA going to explode like some predict?

2. In a fit of desperation here in Canada, is some Liberal pol going to point to this case and suggest that if Stephen Harper were PM, we'd have really nice guys who have turned their life around like Tookie Williams hanging high without so much as a second thought? Call me crazy, but I don't think they're above making that kind of insinuation.
