Joint BBC-ABC poll finds Iraqis hopeful about future

Interesting statistics from a recent poll of Iraqis:

- 61% of respondents say that the current government is doing a good job;
- 57% say democracy is the best political system for Iraq;
- well over 2/3 of respondents say that Iraq will be better in one year's time.

On the other hand, a strong majority of respondents expressed little to no confidence in "occupation" forces.

Overall, a very good indicator of the potential for progress in Iraq.
