The Marriage Gap

The magazine City Journal is known for producing clearly written and accessible analyses of social science research. This article, titled "The Marriage Gap", is no exception. Basically what it says is that the difference between the haves and have nots boils down primarily to one thing: marriage. I cannot begin to do the article justice here, but long story short, it justifies George Will's three step solution to avoiding poverty:

1. Get an education.
2. Get married.
3. Don't have kids till you're married.
