Toronto Star media columnist Antonia Zerbisias admits that there is a double standard when it comes to reporting on Conservatives and Liberals. (Yes, I said "Toronto Star".)

While it is indeed difficult to quantify, it's symptomatic of what former CBS producer Bernard Goldberg said in his book "Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News". It's so subtle that the media doesn't even recognize they're doing it. A favourable disposition to liberals and liberal ideas is just quite often just part of the average journalist's worldview, and it can't help but creep into their reporting as shown by the piece linked to on Zerbisias' site.
