Well, so much for that

It was nice to see Ralph Goodale on Don Newman's Politics today deconstructing Harper's GST reduction proposal.

He was reasoned and calm, which I thought was a good sign of things to come - a campaign where issues are rationally discussed and approaches are compared and contrasted.

Then, along comes Earnscliffe's Mike Robinson, trotting out the tired old "tax cuts for the rich" line, before Harper has even introduced his personal income tax policy.

I hope that the tone of the rest of the campaign leans more towards what Goodale offered than what Robinson did.
