Having a devil of a time

It has been pretty tough to be a New Jersey Devils fan this year.

I caught the game against the Flames last night and it was embarassing.

For starters, Marty Brodeur looked like he had his mind on which sister-in-law he was going to get with next instead of stopping pucks. John Madden was nowhere to be found, and Kozlov, Malakhov and McGillis? These guys are not worthy of wearing the same crest that Scotty Stevens, Ken Daneyko and Randy McKay did.

I'm afraid that the new NHL has left the Devils behind. What makes it worse is that my local team rivals the potency of the Edmonton Oilers of the 80s.

I know I gotta stick with my team but damn, it's tough.
