The quotable Howard Dean II

Yesterday, I blogged about the comment Howard Dean made on a San Antonio radio station the other day. He said, "The idea that we're going to win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong."

This editorial from Investor's Business Daily, affectionately titled "Dean Scream II", breaks down what's behind the remarks of the leader of the Democratic National Committee, as does this commentary from the New York Daily News.

The Clintons (especially Hillary, who is looking to '08) must be just cringing every time Dean opens his mouth. Who is finally going to rope him in?

(I somehow doubt the man in the picture below is the one to do the job.)

That Al Gore photo is classic. Man, did that guy ever become unhinged after 2000. Had he handled the loss with grace and dignity he could have been a very viable candidate for '08, but now? Not so much...

Canada has divergent religious sects. No iron fist here.

More importantly, I somehow doubt that's the type of leadership Americans are looking for.

I didn't say that two more years of current conditions and everything will be fine. I said that pessimism and a defeatist attitude are not qualities that Americans like in their leaders.

Personally, I wouldn't hand Iraq over to the UN because they have shown themselves to be completely incompetent in running anything related to conflict.

On to next week's elections ...

Ah yes, the old "oh yeah? well, W. is an dummy" retort.

Can't you lefties come up with anything new?

Ever?

True ... Dean mouthing off about how he hopes that the US loses in Iraq is indeed old news.
