Hardly a doom and gloom scenario

Parliamentary voting in Iraq is well underway.

Iraqis around the world are helping to facilitate the voting in Europe, North America and across the Middle East.

This is a great step forward. Turnout is expected to top 70%. (That's a lot more than what we get in Canada, but then again, why care about the future of society when whether Brad is going to adopt Angelina's kids and how Jen is coping with the breakup is more interesting and requires less brain power?)
