"Murdercide"

The above term was coined by Scientific American writer Michael Shermer to describe the phenomenon of suicide bombing.

He also looks at some psychological profiles of both those who commit suicide under more traditional circumstances and those who die by committing terrorist acts, and finds that the two have nearly nothing in common.
