Munich

Reviews are in, and they're not very good.

Apparently Spielberg has morphed into a hand-wringer.

For once, I would love to see an unapologetic and thoughtful defense of the (modern) state of Israel from Hollywood.

Too bad the only guy with balls in that town these days is Mel Gibson.

(Contrary to popular opinion, I think that he may be the best friend conservative Jews have in the movie business, even if his dad is a nutjob.)

So if someone thinks anal sex is gross, he has no credibility as a storyteller, is that correct?

I guess you'll be first in line at Brokeback Mountain, then.

Is that what it's called, or is it Bareback Mountain?

I thought a homophobe was anybody who the NDP decided was one.

Who is the columnist and what is the scene you are referring to above? And I seem to recall the quote that you posted earlier was about Gibson's views on anal and that was about it.

Ahem ... bullshit.

Here's what happened: You went on Wikipedia to see what Mel has said about homosexuality to post back here with the intention of making him out to be a clown. You saw that circa 1992 he said that he thought an ass was for "shitting". You then saw that he began working with gay advocacy groups in 1997. You then realized that your argument was bogus.

So now you are pulling the "I was only kidding" line.

Plus, you found out that Mel was anti-Iraq, and you also found out that his father moved his entire family from upstate NY to Oz when Mel was 12 to protest Vietnam.

Am I right?

None of which takes away from the fact that Howard Dean gets a little tickle whenever the troops run into trouble in Iraq, and John Kerry is a softie on security.

I still think that Mel is the only one in Hollywood who would tell the truth about Israel's creation and existence since 1948.
