Tuesday digest

- CTV Newsnet and CBC Newsworld are both reporting that supermodel Kate Moss might have gotten married recently. Why this is newsworthy and why I, or anyone else for that matter, should actually care, is well beyond me.

- Speaking very generally, this article suggests that women are their own worst enemies in the workplace.

- Mark Bowden, author of "Guests of the Ayatollah", offers a prescient eulogy for Saddam, here. Now that he's gone, here's hoping that Castro will soon follow.

- Good news from Africa. While I had to cringe at the first line in this piece, which states "the new year is off to a bad start for Muslim extremists and their admirers in the media", after reading Caroline Glick, you can't help but think there's at least a little truth in that statement - in some quarters, anyways.

- New UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon has a big job ahead of him, and as Claudia Rosett points out, success will depend in no small part on how he defines his role.
