Friday digest

- Radical socialist shit-disturber (or activist, if you prefer) Jaggi Singh was up to his old tricks last night, preventing a Minister of the Crown from addressing a gathering to which he was invited in Ottawa.

All class. No wonder the anti-globalization movement isn't taken seriously with nutters like him leading the charge.

- You know what word I am really starting to hate? Dialogue. Whenever you hear that word, what it really refers to these days is letting terrorists and their sympathizers off the hook.

- Thomas Sowell has written a four-part series titled "Preserving the Liberal Vision" which clearly illustrates a key difference between left and right: while the left is concerned with intentions, the right is concerned with results. Here are parts one, two, three and four.

- Loosely related, we can't forget to mention that if your name is Joe Volpe, preserving the capital L-Liberal vision involves accepting donations from pre-adolescents. See here and tell me that he's not a Librano through and through.

- Very interesting article here on the positive developments in the Indian economy. It will be interesting to see if they are going to be the next Brazil (the perennial next big thing) or something more.
