Liberal attack ads

Stephen Taylor has obtained a copy of the Liberal ads that are to be released after Christmas. Here's my favourite:

I wonder if the Liberals attribute the damage Mike Harris apparently did to Ontario to his cuts to personal income tax. But aren't tax cuts what the Liberals are campaigning on?

Home heating rates are set to rise 22%, property taxes are on their way up too, and Dalton McGuinty's $975 health care premium is still on the books. I think a lot of families would like a Mike Harris-style government in power federally to clean house, especially when taxpayers' dollars have been stolen by Liberal politicians in Quebec for partisan purposes dating as far back as ten years.

I'm not blaming the Liberals. I'm saying that it's another expense that homeowners are facing.

At the outset of the campaign, Min staff were given an option to stay in the office or to go work on the campaign. If they stayed in the office, they collected their regular cheque. If they went out on the campaign, they were cut off from their government salary. However, now, some Min staff who are out on the campaign are going to return to Ottawa and go back to "work" to keep their seats warm for the three days between Christmas and New Year's so that they can draw some cash out of the public purse.

What makes this scheme even more distasteful is that the Liberal campaign was paying some Min staff to be out on the road from party coffers. Now, the Lib campaign is apparently going to try and save some bucks by having people sit on their asses in Ottawa back in their MOs for three days and get paid THAT way.

Entitled to their entitlements ...

I'd vote Tory if McKay was our guy. Harper sends me bad vibes.

You know, on the subject of Mackay ... I think his grasp of policy issues is about ten miles wide and one inch deep. So much style, and nearly zero substance.

He'd be out and it would be Mackay's for the taking.
