Why Blender magazine sucks
Sorry, but any list of dead rock royalty that omits Duane Allman, John Bonham and Bon Scott while including Tupac Shakur, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez and DJ Screw (who dat?) isn't worth the paper it's written on.
See here.
A thoughtful yet light-hearted look at politics, society and pop culture from a white-collar, Canadian redneck who would much rather be spinning tunes between plays at sporting events.

Thast why I hate lists. nice weblog.
Tupac and #4, Notorious B.I.G #2. Hilarious.
You completely missed the point of the list. They were saying that often dying is a great career move. Tupac should have actually been #2 and Cobain # 1 because Nirvana was horseshit with the exception of one album.
How did Allman's death help record sales?
Again I ask, who's DJ Screw?
On Allman ... once Duane died, Dickey Betts became the main guitarist and wrote "Ramblin' Man" and "Jessica". They're still going strong over 30 years after Duane kicked the bucket so I'd guess his estate is probably worth a fair bit now.
I believe all music mags blow anyways. Who are you to tell me what is good music and what is not. It is all personal opinion. I read blender issue with worst lyricists ever and these jackasses had the nerve to put Greg Graffin of Bad Religion in there due to the fact that he uses words that are too big for them. God forbid an artist be articulate, educated and well spoken. Blender blows, Rolling stone blows, All rap mags blow too. Think for yourselves like what you like and if someone laughs for what you like break there fukin face.
